The World First Mass-Produced Carbon Fiber lightsaber.
The Carbon Light Katana is the result of 2 years of R&D at Nexus Sabers to develop a carbon fiber hilt and blade for full-contact saber combat.
Styled after the Chinese Tang Dao it's an incredible saber replica made of carbon fiber, aluminium, polycarbonate and "super rubber" (TPU).
This saber is a unique piece in our catalog and the freebie heavy duty transport case includes : the hilt, the blade, a free Imperial LED Saber Stand, tools set, charging cable, SD reader and user manual.
The hilt : Carbon Fiber and Aluminium hybrid. To build a combat saber, the carbon fiber needed reinforcing to avoid the issue of screws stripping the threads. Embedded into the carbon fiber shell is a 6061 aluminium framework, handling the screw torque and ensuring a rock-solid assembly. Parts of the hilt are covered with white carbon fiber.
The blade: Uses a carbon fiber spine with an edge made of "super rubber": Thermoplastic Polyurethane. It is extremely resistant to tears and scratches, and features an elastic memory that allows it to rebound to its original shape. Whilst built for combat, it doesn't yet feature an active "blade retention system" like on combat sabers, for those used to it. This will come in a later iteration. Our stress test (see video below) revealed that, though the carbon is VERY strong, the overall resistance of the assembly to heavy dueling is lower than with a regular neopixel blade. So we won't recommend this blade style for heavy fighting.
Notes on the blade: The thickness of the rubber edge makes the light slightly dimmer than a traditional neopixel blade. This blade IS NOT compatible with other flat blade sabers like The Ronin or Darksaber.
The scabbard: to store your saber blade after a combat, like a true fighter. The cuttouts allow to see the light through. Made with polycarbonate extrusion, it can withstand drops and will protect your blade.

- 📐 Dimensions of the hilt : 27 cm / 10.63 inches in length, weighs approx. 305 g / 0.67 lbs
- 📐 Dimensions of the blade : the carbon fiber blade is 72.5cm / 28.5" long, with a flat connector unique to this model, then you choose between 72, 82, 92 cm (28, 32 or 36 inches) for the length.
